WHAT:          Patch, grind, and resurface existing roadway with asphalt.

 

WHY:             The existing pavement condition is deteriorated and is in need of repair.

 

WHEN:          Candidate Resurfacing Project for FY19

 

COST:            $3-$5 Million (Engineer’s Estimate)

 

 

MO1855177: MD 355 from MD 911 to Mannakee Street

WHAT:          Patch, grind, and resurface existing roadway with asphalt.

 

WHY:             The existing pavement condition is deteriorated and is in need of repair.

 

WHEN:          Candidate Resurfacing Project for FY19

 

COST:            Under $3 Million (Engineer’s Estimate)

 

 

XY4155177: MD 28 from S. Van Buren St. to Monroe Street

WHAT:          Maintenance patch, grind, and resurface existing roadway with asphalt.

 

WHY:             The existing pavement condition is deteriorated and is in need of repair.

 

WHEN:          Candidate Maintenance Resurfacing Project for FY18

 

COST:            Under $3 Million (Engineer’s Estimate)

WHAT:          Maintenance patch, grind, and resurface existing roadway with asphalt.

 

WHY:             The existing pavement condition is deteriorated and is in need of repair.

GEOMETRIC IMPROVEMENTS

WHAT:          Provide additional left turn lane on SB MD 124.

 

WHY:             To improve current capacity and traffic flow.

 

WHEN:          Funded for Preliminary Design

MD 189 at I-270 Ramp 4

WHAT:          Place Ramp 4 from NB I-270 to EB MD 189 under stop control at its intersection.

 

WHY:             To improve pedestrian safety and maximize weaving distance between ramp and                           left turn lanes onto Great Falls Road

 

WHEN:          Funded for Design Only

MO9485177: MD 28 from Quince Orchard Road to Argosy Drive

WHAT:          Patch, grind, and resurface existing roadway with asphalt.

 

WHY:             The existing pavement condition is deteriorated and is in need of repair.

 

WHEN:          In Construction – 44%

                        Estimated completion – Spring 2018
